At this Salon created by veteran beauty editor the experience is, well, polished. The spacious manicure spot features a beverage bar with champagne and Cold Brew, a curated selection of 50 on-trend lacquer colors (manicures start at $35), iPhone chargers at each of its 18 stations and a seasonal menu of nail-art designs by celebrity manicurist Julie Kandalec. You’ll be giving swoon-worthy butterfly kisses in no time thanks to this squeaky-clean Midtown East lash joint. Prices start at $140 for 80 lashes, $175 for 100 strands and $210 for a full set (120 lashes per eye). The extensions can last up to one month using the proper care methods. Bonus: New clients get 50 percent off their first set and receive a complimentary mink upgrade.
Service
If you want highly detailed and unique nail art, this one-of-a kind spa and salon is top-notch. Enter the kitschy tri-level space, which boasts red leather pedicure stations and leopard-print chairs and enjoy a gratis tea or coffee while one of the manicurists prepares a non-acrylic LCN resin for your beds. The liquid sets under a heat lamp for a few minutes and turns into hard nonporous nails. While it’s primarily known as a gorgeously outfitted hair salon where owner Kattia Solano—and a legion of equally talented stylists—turn out perfectly-layered, easy-to-wear cuts, this massive, 4,000-square-foot second-floor space also has an in-house space devoted to massages, nail treatments and waxing. Walk-ins are welcome, but the small space lends itself to booking an appointment. Your stylist will match the Great Length extensions to your hair color, texture and length, dyeing or highlighting the strands if necessary to ensure a seamless look that lasts for up to six months. Be advised that the process can take up to three hours to complete. For a quicker update to your tresses, get a half-hour-long dry cut, a technique that helps to tame curly manes and give edgy shape to straight styles. As with all of the salon’s services, the express chop concludes with a gratis wash, dry, blowout and relaxing scalp massage.
Location
In 2014 Elisa became obsessed with threading and tried out nearly every salon in the city. Unsatisfied with the unsanitary conditions of the spots, Elisa decided to leave her job and start her own seriously clean and affordable threading joint in Hill. Since then, Elisa has opened two more Salons, including her most recent locale. The mod space is decorated with the brand’s signature red-and-white walls, and the pristine hair-removal services are—as always—offered at rock-bottom prices. While it’s primarily known as a gorgeously outfitted hair salon where owner Kattia Solano—and a legion of equally talented stylists—turn out perfectly-layered, easy-to-wear cuts.
