Jeffrey Kalinsky, a former Barneys shoe buyer, was a Meatpacking District pioneer when he opened his namesake store in 1999. Designer clothing abounds here—Yves Saint Laurent, stylist-turned-designer L’Wren Scott and young British star Christopher Kane, among other brands. But the centerpiece is the shoe salon, which features the work of Manolo Blahnik, Prada and Christian Louboutin, as well as newer names to watch.
